South African Artist Lira, Becomes 1st African To Get Own Barbie Doll.

We are excited for South African artist, Lira aka Miss Lira. Yes, Lira now has her own Barbie doll. The Lira Barbie doll was made as part of 60th Anniversary Barbie Shero campaign, an effort to inspire more girls. Lira is the 1st African with this honour.

I am proud to announce that I have been awarded a one-of-a-kind Lira Barbie doll, as part of Barbie’s 60th Anniversary Shero campaign celebrating role models who inspire young girls to be all they can be. I am the very first African to be bestowed with this honour and I’m simply thrilled to be honoured in this way.

Look at the cuteness of this Barbie doll. It represents Lira and the African she is. Loving the fact that it’s different from the long hair Barbie Dolls that we have been a exposed to. I love the African print outfit as well. This is beautiful. To all the parents, please get your daughters this one. I am definitely getting for my babies. It’s a must have.

Congratulations to Lira, just a few weeks ago she announced that she was getting divorced. We are sad about that, but we continue to celebrate the good news. When one door closes, another one opens and this is IT.
