The world is still in shock and saddened by the passing of former United Nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan. The Ghanaian diplomat and humanitarian passed away this past Saturday after a short illness. He was 80years old.
Tributes have been pouring in from all parts of the world including well-known figures, for the man who dedicated his life to making Africa and the world a better place. He was loved and respected by many. Kofi Annan served as a UN Secretary General for 2 terms (January 1997 – December 2006). He was also a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
As expected, the family has requested privacy to mourn their loved one. We send our deepest condolences to the Annan Family and the Kofi Annan Foundation.
Rest in peace Sir. We thank you for everything you did for us. Africa will always remember you and the legacy you’ve left behind.
