Thabang Molaba reps SA in international film

It seems like Thabang Molaba has joined the elite club of local actors who have gained roles in international productions.

The actor whose first big role was in ‘The Queen’ will be starring in the third installment of the “Now You See Me” films. The actor will be starring alongside Hollywood legends such as Morgan FreemanJesse Eisenberg, Rosamund Pike amongst others.

The ‘Blood & Water’ actor was recently celebrated by fellow actor Zamani Mbatha and celebrity photographer Anele Papuat the local screening of “Now You See Me 3” where he thanked the attendees of the event for their continued support.

The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer who directed productions such as “Venom” and “Zombieland”. The film follows “The Four Horseman” who blend wit and magic tricks into their vigilante goals of exposing corruption.

This is definitely the latest sign that South African entertainers are truly making their mark on the international stages whether it is through music, fashion or movies and we are here for it.

“Now You See Me 3” will start screening in cinemas from 14 November 2025
