It seems like the cry for a Brenda Fassie biographical drama has been answered. This will come in the form of the upcoming four part docu-series, ‘Vulindlela’ which will star Brenda Ngxoli as the legendary singer.
The series is set to be centered around Brenda Fassie’s success after the release of the ‘Vulindlela’ album. This particular album is one of her most iconic albums and came at a time when she was going through a troubled time in her career.
The docu-series is set to feature commentary from individuals that have known her best from her friends, family and industry peers.
The series will be set up with real-life performances, interviews, commentary and re-enactments featuring South Africa’s talented stars including Sphamandla DhluDhlu who will take on the role of Chicco Twala,who was very instrumental to Brenda’s success.
The docu-series is set to premiere 14 November on SABC 1
