Los Angeles has been buzzing with our African stars. The Kings and Queens are there for The BET Awards 2017. The #BETAwards17 International ceremony took place yesterday and the stars have been sharing their experience from the day they arrived in the USA.
Let’s take a look at some of those moments. The BET Awards always seem to be one hella of an action packed experience for all those who take part in it. It’s event after event, activity after activity, party after party throughout one can’t keep up. But next year we will be there.

Nomzamo hosted the BETAwards17 International ceremony with US model Eva.
Nigeria’s Wizkid was announced the winner for Best International Act: Africa at the #BETAwards17. Unfortunately he wasn’t there to accept his award. Wizkid was nominated with his fellow countrymen, Tekno, Mr Eazi and Davido, Stonebwoy from Ghana, and AKA, Nasty C, Babes Wodumo from South Africa.
Tanzania’s Ray Vanny won the Viewers’ Choice award Best New International Act. He was nominated alongside South Africa’s Amanda Black, Dave and Jorja Smith from the UK, Skip Marley from Jamaica, Danel Caeser from Canada, Changmo from South Korea, and Remi from Australia. This is a big win, not just for Tanzania but for Africa as a whole. Look at all the mentioned nominees. AFRICA!!!
Yvonne Chaka Chaka was there to accept her Global Good Power Award.

Another one that has alreeady left a mark in the USA is SA’s Nasty C. He was a guest on Sway in the Morning and he left Sway hungry for more when he dropped his freestyle.

Now let’s start counting down to seeing the fashion from the main event. The BET Awards 2017 will be broadcast on BET ( Dstv channel 129) on Tuesday 27th June at 8pm CAT. It’s a date!! 🙂
