Castle Lite has unlocked Award winning Rapper Cardi B, as the headliner for their #CastleLiteUnlocks concert in South Africa. Some of the artists who have graced the Castle Lite Unlocks concert stage in South Africa include Kanye West, Drake, J Cole, Chance the Rapper, Bryson Tiller and Travis Scott. In 2017, American rapper, Future also headlined the #CastleLiteUnlocks concerts in Mozambique and Tanzania respectively. In 2018, Castle Lite Unlocked J.Cole for Lagos, Nigeria.
If I am not mistaken, Cardi B is the first ever female headliner for Castle Lite Unlocks, and her performance will mark the 10-year anniversary of the Castle Lite Unlocks concerts. I for one am excited because I have loved Cardi since she was introduced to us on VH1’s reality show, Love & Hip-Hop New York. Cardi came on to that show with a mission to use the platform to launch her rap career and that is exactly what she did. She was only there for 2 seasons and she went on to become more successful than some who have been there since Season 1.
It has really been good to watch Cardi B grow. From those Love & Hip-Hop petty fights to an award-winning super star, a mother and a wife. She has done well for herself. It will be her first time performing in South Africa. Her husband, Offset has been to South Africa to perform with Migos. He left tongues wagging and social media went crazy after he was allegedly accused of cheating on Cardi B with a South Africa twerker. This life!!
