The annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival scheduled to take place on the 27th and 28th March 2020 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in South Africa, has been postponed. The new date hasn’t been set yet, and this is what management had to say.
The new date hasn’t been set yet, and this is what management had to say: ‘In light of growing concerns around the spread of Coronavirus, the Cape Town International Jazz Festival management regrets to inform the public that this year’s event has been postponed for the foreseeable future as a public health precautionary measure. This was a difficult yet entirely necessary decision and we’re sure you share in both our disappointment and understanding of why we had to postpone the event at such short notice. There is still too much uncertainty and we are not prepared to jeopardise the health of you, our loyal Festinos, our local and international artists, and our fellow South Africans. Given the spread of the Coronavirus nobody can know how long the process will take for it to be contained, and a safe environment to be ensured for all Festinos to attend the Festival. We are also dependent on the availability of the venue. As soon as both of these elements can be determined we will be able to set a new date.’
This Coronavirus is terrorising all of us I tell you. I have a wedding coming up. Hubby and I have been put in a situation we don’t want to be in. If things don’t change soon, we will also be forced to postpone our celebration. STRESS!
Anyway, please refer to Cape Town International Jazz Festival website for any questions you might have regarding the refund of your tickets. The Weekend and Day Passes purchased for CTIJF will be refunded via their ticketing partner Computicket, subject to their terms and conditions.
CTIJF also advised that, if anyone decides to retain their current ticket for the re-scheduled festival, they will receive a 25% discount on their purchase of an additional ticket OR a R100 voucher per day for Food and Beverages at the event.
The Computicket Call Centre will also be able to assist with more information on the cancellation/ refund or exchange process. You can contact the Call Centre on 0861 915 8000 or 011 340 8000, Monday to Saturday, between 08h00 and 20h00. The Call Centre is closed on Sundays and some public holidays.
