This past Sunday was the annual celebration of Mothers. We attended the Mother’s Day Concert at Joburg Zoo which featured the likes of Mafikizolo, Msaki and GoodLuck. It was indeed a fun filled experience and a day to remember.
Let me start off by saying it was my first time attending this annual concert and I had the best time. Ok it was also my first time inside Joburg Zoo and I am even embarrassed to type this. Please don’t judge me. Lol
Me and my crew entered the Joburg Zoo ready to have a great time VIP style. We didn’t kick things off on a good note though. First we got lost trying to find our VIP parking lot and then when we eventually found it, we went through registration but then decided to walk to our VIP tent instead of being driven there. Did we get lost again and end back where we started? Hahahaha a whole mess.
Anyway, fast forward – we were at our tent where food was delicious and drinks were flowing. Our tent was situated in front of the stage and that made it even more fun.

Then it was time for GoodLuck who also delivered. My daughter knew every song of theirs. WOW!
Decided to take a walk around the zoo to see what else was going on.

Mafikizolo took to the stage as the final act and got everyone getting down.
The place was packed. People had a good time.
Old people were also there with no care to the world.
