Pics and Nominees: The 9th Annual Feather Awards! #FeatherAwards2017

Earlier today at the Constitutional Hill in Johannesburg, the Feather Awards team announced the #FeatherAwards2017 nominees. On arrival we were warmly greeted by founders of the Feather Awards Mr. Joe Correia and Thami Kotlolo.

The theme this year is A Luta Continua (the struggle continues) which coincides with the 9th year in the entertainment industry which represents self-love, freedom, tolerance, love and humility, this is all what The Feather Awards seeks to achieve.

Khanya Mkangisa and Lumko Johnson will be on stage for the second year as the Hosts for the 9th annual Feather Awards 2017 while Ayanda Makhuzeni handles the red carpet.

The Feather Awards is a social movement that advocates for the equalized acceptance of the LGBTI people in society. The awards show was founded 9 years ago to celebrate significant personalities that continue to empower and inspire the LGBTI community in the different stated categories. The glitzy awards have grown over the years in the entertainment industry and have cultivated commercial attention from leading media outlets, personalities, government figures and institutions.
