Let’s Take a Trip Around The World!

There are a few stories that caught our attention recently. Some are sad, disturbing and some are just funny. It seems the war between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is still in action. Not sure if it’s mild at the moment or it’s hot, or maybe it will get hotter. It’s just a roller coaster between those two.

It was an emotional moment in Jamaica this weekend when the Island held a sold out send off for the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt. He ran his last race on home soil during the #OneLastBolt event that took place at the National Sports Stadium in Kingston on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Yes, the 30year old has decided that he will be retiring after the World Championships in August. He will be turning 31 in August and he feels it’s time. As expected, Usain won his last race but he said he was very nervous before the race.

I can’t seem to imagine what athletics is gonna be like without Bolt. But I understand why he’s letting go now whilst he’s still the king. There are a few young men that seem to be doing well and they might have dethroned Usain. So it’s better to leave now and leave us with all the good memories right? Looking forward to the World Championships in London, it will sure be another emotional farewell for this living legend.

There is a story from Zimbabwe that made me laugh. People are so dramatic, creative and funny. So a married lady called Tsitsi, had exams to write but felt she wasn’t prepared so she hired someone (a guy called Liberty) to write 3 exams on her behalf. Liberty had to forge ID, dress like a woman including wearing a wig.

Liberty had already succeeded writing 2 subjects for Tsitsi, unfortunately things didn’t go so well during the English exam and he got busted by the examination supervisors who alerted the police. Both Tsitsi and Liberty were arrested. Tsitsi said she failed the exams before and she was not willing to fail again so she agreed to pay Liberty behind her husband’s back. Some publications say Liberty is her husband, and some say he was just a man she hired. Whatever the truth is, this is funny as hell. LMAO!

Last week, a story broke about South African musician Arthur Mafokate allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Cici. The case is still in court from what I hear, Arthur has denied abusing Cici and also said she got hurt while he was driving away and didn’t notice that Cici was holding on to the car door. Fine, I understand that could be possible BUT Cici posted a very disturbing image on her social media page recently with an even disturbing caption, #BreakTheSilence

According to my understanding, if someone says #BreakTheSilence, doesn’t it mean something has happened before but they kept quiet about it and now they are willing to talk? So this means some sort of abuse has taken place before right? Correct me if I’m wrong.

Anyway, yesterday Sunday Sun had a story about Arthur’s EX, Chomee saying Arthur is a sweet person and doesn’t hit women. Really Chomee? This is NOT the time for you to be talking. Stay away from this topic because as a woman you are coming across as insensitive. Just because he was sweet to you doesn’t necessarily mean he’s sweet to everyone. And just because someone is mean/hurtful to you doesn’t mean they do that to everyone. The person who is supposed to be talking here and addressing this issue is Arthur and not Chomee because this doesn’t concern her.

With that said, Arthur hasn’t said anything concerning the issue, instead he’s been posting bible verses and emotional quotes, and I think that is making people even more upset. The celebs might be quiet on this matter but ordinary folk are not giving the King of Kwaito a free pass.
