There is a lot that’s been happening around us. Some good, some bad and some shocking. Let’s take that trip around the world and look at those stories that caught our attention.
Emmanuel Macron is the new President of France. He was sworn in a couple of days ago. The inauguration took place at the Elysee Palance in Paris. This means the French have a new 1st Lady, Brigitte Macron. We will talk about her in another topic soon. 🙂
While Macron is in his first week of office which is the beginning of it all in setting up and finalising strategies, the USA President, Donald Trump is past his 100 days in office and is still going through the roller coaster ride. Recent allegations are that he divulged secret information to Russian diplomats. However, HR Master, the National Security Adviser denied that Donald Trump was guilty of such. When it comes to Trump, everything is ‘FAKE NEWS’. Lol
The President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma has opened this year’s Travel Indaba in Durban South Africa. This travel show is the biggest in Africa and it’s one of the top three in the world. The city of Durban will be buzzing with delegates, Travel buyers, Travel lovers and of course Travel media. The show ends on Thursday.
Still in South Africa, the opposition parties are waiting impatiently for the Constitutional Court to make a decision in their favour to allow the MPs to vote in secret in a motion of no confidence against the South African President, Jacob Zuma. It is alleged that most of the ruling party (ANC) MPs are siding with the opposition parties and would like the SA president to step down. So the secret ballot is what is needed because they are scared to publicly vote against their leader.
Kenya is also preparing for its Presidential elections that will take place on the 8th August 2017. Some of the candidates include;
Peter Ondeng – Restore and Build Kenya Party
Abduba Dida – Tunza Coalition
Ekuru Aukot – Thirdway Alliance Party
Nazlin Umar – Independent Candidate
Cyrus Jirongo – UDP Party.
As expected, the current Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Jubille Party and Raila Odinga of the ODM Party will also be in the race. What the Kenyan people want will be revealed after the 8th August. Let’s hope it will be a free and fair election.
There is story of a 54year old man that drinks his own urine to lose weight. The 54year old Dave Murphy from Essex in the United Kingdom says he has been drinking his own urine for 6years now and he has lost 112 pounds. He says he also feels healthier and younger as a result. He was quoted; ‘Urine is a cure for all. If people could just change their mentality and preconceptions about this therapy, then anyone can feel the huge benefits.’ WOW!! Maybe we should all try it. Lol
Once again we are faced with the outbreak of Ebola. 3 people out of the 19 confirmed cases have died in the DRC and WHO is working on tracing 125 people believed to be linked to the identified cases. According to reports, this is the 8th outbreak of Ebola virus since its discovery in Congo in 1976.
While South Africa was still traumatised by the murder of a young lady Karabo Mokoena whose body was found in the trash burnt beyond recognition. It was alleged that her boyfriend Sandile Mantsoe was responsible for her death. A lot of women then opened up on social media about their worst experiences in the hands of men and that led to adding more fire to the sometimes, trending topic #MenAreTrash.
On Sunday night, former Generations Actor and Radio DJ, Mandla Hlatshwayo and his friend Oupa Duma were shot dead in Soweto in Johannesburg during a robbery. It is said that the two were shot after trying to assist women that had been robbed. They both died on the scene. Four men were taken in for questioning after they were found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and drugs.
That’s it from our News desk. 🙂

It’s about time every sane South African stood up against the tyrant that has no shame at all. If I were in his shoes and faced so much flak around the country, I would even be scared to leave my house. The way he acts now is showing everyone the middle finger, finish and klaar. (in Jackie Selebi’s voice)
I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and amusing, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that too few folks are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy I came across this in my search for something regarding this.
Terrific post but I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this subject? I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit more. Bless you!

Asking questions are actually good thing if you are not understanding anything fully, but this paragraph presents pleasant understanding yet.
