It seems like Zozibini Tunzi’s reign is far from over — even beyond the Miss Universe crown. The beauty queen and beloved media personality has landed a new acting role in Netflix’s upcoming crime drama, Bad Influencer.
The eight-part series dives into the dark and dazzling world of social media, luxury, and deception. It follows the story of a single mother who secretly runs a counterfeit luxury goods operation. When she teams up with an ambitious influencer desperate to escape mounting debt, the two hatch a grand scheme that spirals into danger, greed, and betrayal.

Zozi steps into the role of Naomi, a character described as fierce, mysterious, and unapologetically ambitious. She joins an impressive ensemble that includes Cindy Mahlangu, Zikhona Sodlaka, and Jo-Anne Reyneke — a line-up that promises to deliver a powerhouse performance on screen.
This marks another milestone for Tunzi, who continues to expand her footprint in film and television. She previously appeared in The Woman King alongside Viola Davis and served as a mentor and judge on Crown Chasers, the reality show following hopefuls for the Miss South Africa crown.

With Bad Influencer, Zozi is set to show a different side of herself — one that blends elegance with edge.
The highly anticipated series premieres on Netflix on 31 October 2025 — just in time for a binge-worthy Halloween weekend
