Netflix is the gift that keeps on giving. The latest gem that we will be blessed with is a comedy film, ‘Love & Wine’ which will feature two rising stars in the local entertainment industry; Thandolwethu Zondi and Ntobeko Zondi.
The film is centered around two childhood friends Ovee and Nathi who decide to swap lives to see if their luck with the ladies is dependent on their social positions in life. This makes for hilarious results as they put their theory to the test and find love along the way.
The film also stars a variety of notable local stars such as Thando Thabete,’ Bridgerton’ actress Masali Buduza, Bongile Mantsai, Bohang Moeko just to name a few.
The pair also starred in the Netflix short series ‘Go’ where Thandolowethu played the lead character. He also followed up with a small role in epic drama ‘Shaka iLembe’.
Sishi is also no stranger to the camera having gotten his big break in telenovela ‘Gomora’. He has also starred in the film ‘Uhlanjululo’ amongst other notable roles. He also has a promising career in music as a singer and songwriter.
It is refreshing to see that upcoming talent such as Thandolwethu and Ntobeko are being given the opportunities to showcase their talent and build a place for themselves within the industry which has been judged for always giving roles to established acts. This is clearly being changed.
‘Love & Wine’ is produced by Quizzical Pictures and will be released globally on Netflix on 5 December 2025.
