“Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa” set to end off with explosive reunion

This season of “Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip Africa” brought everything but peace and harmony and the ladies will air everything out at the first reunion of the ‘Ultimate Girls trip’ spin-off.

This season combined iconic Housewives from all the big African franchises; Durban, Lagos, Johannesburg, Abuja and Nairobi. The season featured drama from the very first episode.

The drama escalated to the point of fans calling out certain cast members such as Angel Ndlela (Real Housewives of Durban”, Annie Mthembu  (Real Housewives of Durban) and Princess Jecoco (Real Housewives of Abujafor bullying fellow cast member Christall Kay (Real Housewives of Johannesburg) .

This caused the reality tv stars to receive backlash on social media and the producers of the television show issued a disclaimer urging viewers against cyber bullying.

The drama was to be expected as the casting of the show included individuals with large personalities and some would say unfinished business from their respective franchises. This was supported by the viewers of the show until it allegedly became toxic when fan favourite Christall was the object of the vitorial from the other ladies.

The reunion will be hosted by Mablerh who has hosted the reunions of the South African editions of the ‘Real Housewives’ franchise. The ‘Ultimate Girls’ trip format has not included a reunion in past local and international reiterations, this will be the first reunion.

The seating plan was also revealed and it is common knowledge amongst all ‘Real Housewives’ fans that the first chairs are always occupied by the ladies who brought the most drama. These positions are occupied by Christall Kay and Princess Jecoco.

The other ladies are strategically placed with all those who seemingly had negative interactions with Christall all being placed on Princess’ side with the exception of Annie who was placed at the far end.

This is surprising considering she was the one who brought the most drama in the earlier episodes especially when she called out Dr Catherine Masitsa, more famously known as ‘Dr C’, for her behaviour.

It will definitely be interesting to see if there will be any accountability and will any relationships be mended at the reunion.

The reunion will be available to stream from 20 February on Showmax and will air  21 February on Mzansi Magic (channel 161) at 19:00
