MTV Ridiculousness Africa is Back.

MTV Ridiculousness Africa is back on our screens with a second season which kicked off last Thursday, the 8th of June. We attended the launch that was held at Taboo in Sandton Johannesburg, South Africa.

MTV went all out to give us the best of all worlds and that brought out the ridiculousness in all of us.

Season 2 sees Thomas Gumede resume his role as the presenter and is joined by Nigeria’s Ehiz Okoeguale.

Remember the first season was co-hosted by South Africa’s Boity Thulo? Season 2 has SA’s Denise Zimba as the new female co-host. She said, she is excited about the African content on the show.

The event started off with Thomas and Denise welcoming guests and acknowledging the team that worked on the show on and off camera. Unfortunately Naija’s Ehiz Okoeguale couldn’t attend the launch.

The Vice President of Viacom, Monde Twala was also there. He said, season 2 is back by popular demand and will be more pan African with guests from East and West Africa, because for the first time we get to see how “ridiculous” we can be as Africans. It promises to be fun and ridiculous. Some guests to look forward to on the show include Tanzania’s Vanessa Mdee, South African rapper AKA and Nigeria’s Patroniking.
