There comes a moment in every collector’s journey when the question changes from “What do I like?” to “What belongs on my wall?”
This October, MSSP Art presents ArtX 2026 — an independent art sale created around a simple but powerful idea:
Exchange your walls. Exchange your perspective. Exchange the ordinary for original.
ArtX 2026 brings together a carefully curated selection of older consignment works, studio pieces and artworks ready for a new chapter, creating an opportunity for both emerging and seasoned collectors to discover original art in a refreshingly accessible way.
And the best part?
You don’t have to be a seasoned collector to participate.
With works starting from R500, ArtX invites people to stop scrolling, step into the world of art and perhaps walk away with something they never expected to own. Because sometimes, the artwork you fall in love with isn’t the one you came looking for.
ART HAS SEASONS. SO DO COLLECTIONS.
Artist evolve.
Their work changes. Their ideas mature. Their visual language shifts. Pieces that once represented an important chapter in an artist’s journey may eventually find themselves waiting for the next chapter — and the next collector.
ArtX 2026 creates that moment of exchange.
An artist’s old season can become a collector’s new story.
It is about movement, discovery and giving good art another opportunity to be seen, appreciated and lived with.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF ART EXPERIENCE
ArtX isn’t designed to feel intimidating.
It is designed to feel alive. Think unexpected discoveries, conversations around art, first-time acquisitions, collectors hunting for that one special piece, artists seeing their work enter new spaces — and people leaving with stories they didn’t arrive with.
Whether you’re buying your first artwork, adding to an existing collection, looking for something special for your home, or simply curious about what is happening in Johannesburg’s creative scene, ArtX 2026 is an invitation to come and look again. And maybe look differently.

FROM R500. FROM CURIOUS TO COLLECTOR.
ArtX 2026 deliberately challenges the idea that collecting art has to begin with a huge budget.
It can begin with R500.
It can begin with a conversation.
It can begin because something catches your eye.
It can begin because you walk past a work, turn around and think:
“I need that.”
ArtX makes space for those moments.
20% COMMISSION. MORE WAYS TO OWN.
To make the experience even more accessible, ArtX 2026 offers 20% commission, with payment options available over 2, 3 or 6 months.
Because the relationship between people and art shouldn’t always be restricted by the moment a bank card is available. Sometimes, good art deserves a little room.
THE ART IS READY. THE WALLS ARE WAITING.
ArtX 2026 is ultimately about exchange. Artists exchange one chapter for another. Collectors exchange empty walls for stories. People exchange familiarity for discovery. And perhaps most importantly, we exchange the idea that art is “not for me” for the possibility that: Maybe this one is.
MSSP Art invites you to discover ArtX 2026.
Come curious.
Leave inspired.
And if you find something that speaks to you —
take it home.
**Exchange your walls.
Exchange your perspective.
Exchange discovery for ownership.
Exchange the ordinary for original.**
