African Talent: Blown Away by Shweshwe Baby Couture!

A South African business woman, Gugu Kgongoane has taken her passion for Africa to another level. Shweshwe Baby Couture is the home for kid’s African print clothing and Black dolls.

Shweshwe Kiddies specializes in beautiful handmade African print clothing for kids (boys & girls) ranging from birth to six years.

Yeah, we are moving with the times. Babies need to keep up with the trends too right? We see the international kids rocking their Gucci, so it’s heart-warming to see that in Africa we do it our way and introduce the African print to our babies from an early age.

It’s amazing just how cute baby clothing is. It’s even more cuter in African print.

Shweshwe Baby Couture also has the Nodoli Nompopi dolls which are an extension of the Shweshwe Kiddies. Nodoli Nompopi is a black doll aimed at promoting a positive reflection of their unique natural beauty.

As Africans, we are used to seeing dolls that represent other races but ours, so this is a huge thumbs up. We are sure moving towards the right direction.

Look at how cute these dolls are? The black Afro is on fleek. Hehehehe

Too cool. I love the clothes as well. You can pick up the passion in the designs.

Gugu is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and she runs her business via social media, so get hold of her for prices.
