South Africa and the rest of the world is mourning a legend. Musician, Hugh Masekela has died. Born in 1939, the popular and loved Jazz icon, had been in the music industry since 1956.
Bra Hugh as he was popularly known, passed away earlier today (23rd January 2018) in Johannesburg, South Africa. He lost the battle with Prostate cancer after being diagnosed in 2008. He was born on the 4th April 1939, he was 78 years old when he lost his life.
The family released a statement. Condolences have being pouring in from all parts of the world. Bra Hugh did not belong to South Africans only, he made his presence felt and created a legacy all over the world. He was loved.

Tough way to start the year for his family. Cancer is one hell of a serious diesese guys.
Let’s hope the media doesn’t do what they normally do – disrespect the dead by digging dirt on them after their passing. We don’t want to be reading negative things about our legends.
