A wife, a mother, an activist, an Actress, a Businesswoman and more….that is Nigerian star, Omotola Jalade – Ekeinde. GLAM Africa’s latest issue is out and Omotola sizzles on it.
The moment I sat my eyes on the cover, I knew I wanted to get my hands on the magazine. Omotola has been off the game for a long time now, seeing her on the cover made me even more curious on what she has been up to and what she has to offer.
She talks to GLAM Africa about her time out of the spotlight and of course, her new film “Alter Ego” which has set tongues wagging. In the film, Omotola plays a Lawyer that’s seeking justice for young girls and women. She says the film is important not just for women but for the society as a whole.
She also says she turned down a lot of scripts/offers during her time out of the spotlight, but loved the Alter Ego script which she felt was “a Godsend”.
‘When I got the script, I wasn’t actually ready to go back to the big screen, but I liked the script and story. A lot of people don’t talk about PTSD and mental illness in Nigeria, and I like to bring attention to such issues … I wanted something meaningful, the kind of project that I would be proud of having helped create’
Omotola has been married to Capt. Matthew Ekeinde since 1996, and they have four children. This feels like a celebration of her come back after the 3year break. And as expected, she comes back with a bang in Alter Ego, a film that talks about what women and the society need to know. The film took over 12 months to shoot. WOW!!
Shout out to GLAM Africa for putting her on the cover and capturing her so well. She looks stunning. From the wardrobe to makeup to hair, all is top notch!! You can read, the full interview in the latest issue of GLAM Africa HERE

This woman is Nollywood royalty. She’s been doing this.
I see her husband is a real Captain? I thought it was just a nickname. Thank you Kiks.
Glam Africa’s covers are always glamourous. The likes of True Love need to learn from them.
