The nerves! OMG, I know I’m not the only one that goes through it whenever there is a big change in their life right? I guess it’s time to accept that the change is here. Anyway, remember when I tweeted that I was having another baby in May? A lot of you thought I was pregnant, and because it was April Fool’s Day, I took your assumptions and ran with them. Hehehehe

Ossify Media is the baby that I was talking about, and it has been growing in my womb for some time. I love writing and when I recently lost my 9-5 job I felt like it was God’s way of telling me that it’s time for a new chapter in my life.

I started writing on www.justcurious.co.za in 2010. I was given an opportunity to explore and express myself on that platform by my good friend Lelo Boyana who has been a good mentor and a pillar of strength the years I’ve known her. In January 2015, she stepped down as Editor of Just Curious and appointed me to take over. It’s been a good 2years, but now I feel it’s the right time for me to grow.

I know some of you are wondering what Ossify means. Well, there are a lot of definitions. But the one that hooked me is this one; ‘Ossify means to become bony. When a baby is born, some of their “bones” are actually soft cartilage, which allows for growth. As the child grows, these soft areas ossify into actual bone.’ Ossify also means to undergo a transformation or a change of position or action.

Ossify Media will be giving you the serious, the fun, and the crazy surrounding our beautiful African continent. We will talk about African News, African Celebrities, African Talent, African Events, African Countries, African Food and African Fashion. We will obviously look at other subjects of interest from outside Africa as well just to spice things up a bit.

Thank you to all those that have been supporting and following my passion for writing since day one. I am thankful to my creator for bringing you guys into my life.

Lelo B, your pure loving heart and mentoring has got me here. Just Curious taught me a lot and has opened a lot of doors for me. You are such a selfless person and I sometimes ask myself how you do it. I will forever be thankful that you are my friend, a friend that loves unconditionally and wants to see the next person do better no matter what.

My girls in the UK (Thanda and Phephi) you have no idea how much your Pounds have helped. You kept on telling me that you are just a WhatsApp message/call away, I must shout if I need anything. Look, this is where we are today.

To my girl Linda, we’ve gone through it, we go through it and still soldier on. You are one business woman that knows how to motivate and give expecting nothing in return. The love we share is unexplainable.

Idah, words fail me. Thank you for always pushing me to get out of my comfort zone. You even set deadlines on me just to see me win in this thing called life. Dankie mokgotsi waka.

To my brothers Stevel & Hlangz, I extend my appreciation for your love, support and words of encouragement. You guys have no idea how much you have contributed in my life and my growth.

Ausi Connie and Abhuti Shona, your time, your business ideas and suggestions are teaching me to build and build and build. You inspire and motivate me and you are not stingy with that knowledge. Thank you so much!

To my baby girl Kea, thank you for allowing me to neglect you whenever I have to write. You put up with my moods, it doesn’t mean I love you any less.
