Inkhosikati LaMasango, née Senteni Masango was found dead on Friday morning after committing suicide by overdosing on amytriptyline capsules. She was the 8th wife of Swaziland King Mswati III.
It’s reported that the Queen was unhappy in her marriage and depressed. Her sister Nombuso Masango recently passed away and was buried less than a week ago. “What made matters worse was the king’s order to ensure that she neither attends her late sister’s memorial service nor funeral. Lately she has lived alone for over three years in a big mansion with no single visit from her husband the king.”
Born in 1981, she married the King when she was 18years old. He was 31 at the time.
She will be laid to rest tomorrow in Royal Swazi rites. We send our deepest condolences to her loved ones and the people of Swaziland. May her soul rest in peace.
Speaking of King Mswati III, he married his 14th wife last year. Sigh! Why do parents still do this to their children?
