South Africa: Comedian Trevor Noah Wins His First Emmy Award.

South Africa is celebrating with its comedian Trevor Noah on winning his first Emmy Award. The Daily Show: Between the Scenes hosted by Trevor won the award for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series at the 2017 Creative Arts Emmys which took place this past weekend.

The annual two night event was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, USA. The ceremony honors outstanding artistic and technical achievement in a variety of television program genres. Trevor Noah was on tour at the time and couldn’t be there to accept his first Emmy.

South Africans took to social media to congratulate their own. Even SA political parties like EFF couldn’t hold back their excitement, Trevor being Trevor told it like it is. Lol
